| 1) | NEVER give your screen name password to anyone but your parents... Not even to your best friend. |
| 2) | NEVER tell anyone online your full name, home address (not even what city you live in), where you go to school or where you go to church without your parent's permission. |
| 3) | Never share photos of yourself, your family, or your home with people you meet online. |
| 4) | Never open e-mail attachments from someone you don't know. |
| 5) | If someone says something that makes you feel unsafe or uncomfortable, don't respond. Tell a grown-up right away! |
| 6) | Always tell a parent about any threatening or bad language you see online. |
| 7) | Never say you'll meet someone in person without asking your parent's permission first. |
| 8) | Don't accept things from strangers (e-mail, files, Web page addresses). |
| 9) | Remember that, if you meet someone online (like on a message board or in a chat room), your never really know who they are... They might really be an icky grown-up just pretending to be a kid. Always ask your parents to check out a new friend for you. |
| 10) | Never be rude or mean online (in an e-mail, on a message board, in a chat room.) A good way to think of this is: Never say anything to anyone online that you wouldn't say to their face. |
